About a year ago in one of my endless bloghopping / etsyshopping black holes – I came across Pomp & Plumage – an indie couture line of wedding accessories handmade by husband and wife design team Denise and Ian Cole.  Immediately I fell in love and began following their progress.  They have been featured on Style Me Pretty, The National Post, The Wedding Co., Today’s Bride, and countless other blogs + publications.  They are featured on BHLDN !!  They are pretty rad.

When my best friend Ashley  told me she was getting married, I knew I didn’t want to get her a gift from her registry.  I wanted give her something more personal, something she could wear on her wedding day that was designed just for her.  I contacted Denise to create a custom fascinator for Ashley.   The final result is gorgeous.  It’s more than I had hoped.  Thank you, Denise + Ian, it’s perfect.

A few weeks later, I arrived at Elisha + Dan’s wedding to find the groom and his men wearing Pomp & Plumage boutonnieres !!  Dan and I shared a mutual affection for Denise.  We chatted about how wonderful she was to work with and how brilliantly we agreed their thoughtful designs compliment the modern handmade wedding.

We seriously dig Pomp & Plumage because :

// they make designs that highlight the natural qualities of the materials
// they believe in local business and the handmade economy
// they love Etsy because it gives them an authentic connection to their clients
// they love their clients
// they love handmade weddings and thoughtful design
