Just before we set off for their ceremony, Alex + Michal wanted to build in a little 45 min block to just be alone with one another.  As I was leaving to grab a coffee and a walk, Alex said, “I just want to play chess – do you want to play?”  So in their dresses, at their kitchen table, they played chess.  And it was one of my favorite things that’s ever happened on any wedding day ever.  Alex + Michal really built their day around who they are as people and as a couple.  They wanted the morning to be understated and slow.  They knew they’d need a little centering and wanted spend the day together.  They also wanted to walk to venue and sleep in their own bed at the end of the night.  So here’s to doing it your way and checking all the boxes and actually making each other a priority.
